yeah stuff happens, I hope they get the points out, and for the June predictions, give us the equivilent of doing a random prediction, I would be perfectly fine with that resolution.

If I dont get my keys for May and June Im not crushed though, but I think it would be nice of Anet to give us some sympathy keys

Some updates to the issue would be pretty cool too

^^^ Sympathy keys would be very nice. I think it's the least they could do; that or give us double/triple keys again like they did before in "error". Here it is almost a month later and still nothing. All we hear is "we're working on it". Sorry but that isn't very reassuring.

I'd be content if they did give us the random vote keys for June. That seems only fair since we've had to deal with this all month. They better get it fixed before the July predictions or I bet lots of people are just going to say screw it and leave.

And anet care why? They already have our money,to hell with us.

People need to quit crying about no keys. Most did nothing to actually deserve them. QQ I want free stuff and I want it now attitudes don't work.

Yeah that would do great things for their future revenue. Screw all of the people who play our game, they already paid us to hell with them!!

Apparently people don't realize that the best marketing is done by the consumers of the product. If word gets out that anet treats the people who play their games like dirt, people aren't going to buy their games. Companies must always look to the future and they aren't going to screw their future by pissing people off in the present. So anet does care. You are clueless if you think they don't.

Oh God, not another one. People did deserve them; they vote, they deserve them. Simple as that. If ANet didn't agree with that, then the people who voted wouldn't get points. And if they don't care they're going to lose money because people won't buy anymore from them.

There a couple of things, about this post, I would like to comment on.

1) ANet does care, they care about their bottom line. Keeping value of GW franchise is important it is a customer base they already have locked in that they can go to to get additional revenue, ie name change, face lift, Zkey accounts, unlock packs, ect ect. If the customer base drops too low then it would not be practical to keep any staff for GW.

2) The idea that "people need to stop complaining".. is false, how else will ANet know what is important to the customers if there is no feedback. "It is the loudest chick that gets the worm". Even though it may not appear as such, ANet is a service provider and we are the customers. The customer when they have a complaint need to and have a right to express it.

3) "Free stuff"... I don't need to get into this here as its been addressed over and over again on other posts, but put simply... NOTHING IS FREE, everything is paid for.

4) "You didn't do anything to deserve the Keys"... Again, who are you to say who deserves anything? The game was paid for, no one cheated, you do what you do and you get what you get. Please enough said on this.

If only people saying they're tired of waiting for the game and it's going to take even longer now, and how many people are losing interest fast if they haven't already, would make them release it faster.

You guys need to learn patience. They will distribute them when they fix the problem. If the distribution problem(s) is/are not fixed, how do you expect to get them?

This patience thing you speak of... I hear it's a virtue. Just word through the grapevine, though.

Anyway... QQ'ers abound. They won't stop until the baww train has been derailed by getting what they want. More bawwage equals faster progression of this QQ disease.

I didn't get a single point on any of my accounts and I'm content with that. If it takes them a while to get it sorted out, no big deal. I'd rather them fix it and not have to worry about it later, but, crap happens.

Unless anyone can de-bug better than the A-Net employees, I suggest we try out this virtue thing. Might be beneficial.

Besides. Life isn't fair.

Correct.

I don't see why everyone is QQ'ing when they are going to fix it for everyone's benefit. Although, if they just go off and say, "No, you guys will not be given the points for last months mAT.", then I would be all for it considering some people go the keys on all their accounts, and some didn't get any. You'll get it. It may take a bit, but you'll get them.

It's been stated by Regina few times (I think?) that all the points have been calculated and are ready to be distributed... but the people who are demanding consolation points and/or "Just give people xxx points now!" seem to forget that part. If the actual distribution part is failing, you won't get your complimentary xxx points, and bawwwing won't make the tech guys debug any faster.

If I were one of them, however, I'd de-bug slower out of pure spite.

I was interested to read this message from Linsey on her talkpage:

Quote:
The XTH has been taken down until further notice while we investigate and repair it's many issues. Until now, the XTH system was not being maintained by the Live Team but by, so the assumption that resources which could have been used on improving the actual game were being put into the XTH, is false. We do not have an ETA on when it will go back up.
Notice the missing word (between bolded words)?

It may confirm an opinion I had a while ago that Anet is outsourcing this part of their game, or they have a webteam working seperately from the "game team". Anyway, I'm sure the fix involves significant work, hence shutting down the feature.

People will complain as there won't (very probably) be a July XTH. But, if we don't get freebies in August XTH, we'll have to live with this. It's not like we deserved it, whatever amount of money we paid or time we've played. It's a GAME, not work!

This would be the kind of update a lot of us are hoping for. Where did she say this?

So asking for an update on this from Anet on the status of XTH predictions say every week is reasonable?

To clarify: I didn't say that the XTH points are ready to be distributed. I stated that we have everyone's information, and people would get the correct number of points. I gave no time frame for it.

The team is still digging into the code, but the latest news is that accurately distributing points from June 18 is linked to correcting the underlying issues with XTH. This means that the June 18 points won't be distributed until the issues with XTH are fixed in the code.

When we have more info on this or a time frame for when XTH will be available again, we will let you know.

Thanks.

While I appreciate the response, I guess I would suggest an update everyweek. I mean somthing must have happened in a week. Even if the "team" does not update you with news every week you can kinda shoot them an memo.. So whats up guys any progress on the XTH? and you can edit their response as needed and give us the PR version.

And again, all we hear is "we're working on it." How long does it take to work on it for crying out loud? It's been a month. Personally I'd rather not see any update until it's fixed for good, as all the others have said roughly the same thing - "we're working on it, hope to get it up soon, thanks for your patience." Patience is wearing thin for many people...
